i
Convertible support between a lying position and at least a seated position for a baby stroller, and corresponding stroller.
1. Field of the invention
The field of the invention is that of childcare, and in particular children's cars or strollers (this term encompassing all childcare devices provided with wheels and capable of transporting one or more children).
More specifically, the field of the invention is that of child supports for strollers, intended to receive a child to be transported. The invention relates in particular to the convertible supports between a lying position and a sitting position, suitable for transporting a child respectively in the lying position or a child in the sitting position.
During the first months of life, the child cannot or hardly sit up and has a great need to sleep. It must therefore be transported lying down, for example in a pram. Growing up, it may be more suitable to carry it in a seated position.
It is also sometimes desirable to install the child in a lying or sitting position, depending on whether the child is asleep or awake.
2. Prior art
There therefore exist stroller frames on which can be mounted alternately and interchangeably a nacelle, a shell and / or a hammock.
This type of stroller generally includes a main frame, on which the child support is removably mounted. The child support can for example be mounted on the chassis by means of a “modulo-clip” type system (registered trademark and subject to patent documents FR2753158 and FR2753159 in the name of the Applicant) or similar . This system also offers parents the freedom to use the child support alone or coupled to the stroller, and to change the support used on the stroller, depending on the situations they encounter on a daily basis.
However, once the support has been chosen and installed, this kind of stroller is not very versatile. In fact, if the carrycot is installed, for example, the child must lie down until returning to the house or the car, the parents generally not carrying the hammock with them. Furthermore, the purchase of two or more supports (carrycot, shell, hammock, etc.) is expensive, and it is necessary to store the unused support (s).
It has therefore been proposed supports offering the possibility of being converted between a lying position and a seated position, and vice versa, quickly, without needing to separate them from the chassis.
Supports convertible from the lying position into a seat for a baby stroller have been proposed, which generally include an upper frame, pivotally mounted on the stroller frame, and supporting several articulated portions for receiving the child, defining a surface against which the child rests, the angles between these articulated elements varying according to the selected position.
In the lying position, the upper frame extends horizontally, and carries an equally horizontal surface on which a child can be installed lying down. This surface is therefore composed of several articulated portions, connected to the upper frame by straps or lines. In order to move the support into the seat position, and vice versa, the upper frame is tilted, and the position of the straps or lines is adapted, automatically under the effect of tilting and / or by user adjustment. The different portions then respectively form the backrest, the seat and the leg support of a seat on which the child can be installed in the sitting position.
Such an approach is for example described in document EP1795424. The upper frame in particular carries lines connected to the backrest, the seat and the footrest. These lines may in particular be straps, of adjustable length, or plates hinged together.
These systems have certain drawbacks, due to the necessary manipulations and / or their complexity (adjustment of the straps in particular), in particular by the presence of a complex footrest, and which further limits the possibilities of using the stroller. , as soon as the child is too tall to be installed in a seated position, his feet resting on the footrest.
There is therefore a need for a new approach to systems combining the functions of pram (lying down position) and seat (sitting position), the manipulations of which are simple and ergonomic, and which can be used for a longer period of time, including when the child grows.
3. Statement of the invention
The present invention aims to overcome these drawbacks of the prior art.
This objective, as well as others which will appear subsequently, is achieved by means of a convertible support for a child's stroller, comprising a frame carrying three elements for receiving a child articulated in pairs, so as to be able to take at least two positions:
an lying position, in which the frame extends essentially in a substantially horizontal upper plane and the receiving elements are substantially aligned in a substantially horizontal base plane, so as to receive a child in the lying position;
at least one sitting position, in which the receiving elements are arranged so as to define respectively a leg support, a seat and a backrest, so as to receive a child in a sitting position.
According to the invention, the frame has two lateral frame uprights, and an upper cross member and a lower cross member connecting the frame uprights, and the frame uprights have two portions forming between them an angle strictly less than 180 °, so that , in the extended position, a main portion of the uprights extends substantially horizontally from the upper cross member, and a final portion extends downward from the main portion towards the lower cross member, so that the latter extends substantially in the basic plane.
In other words, in the lying position, the final portion comprising the lower cross member of the frame (part close to the child's feet) is inclined, relative to the rest of the frame which is substantially parallel to the base plane formed by the elements. receiving the child, towards the leg support so that the lower cross member is substantially in the same plane as the latter.
The tilting of the frame, by a user, allows the child receiving elements to pass from the lying position to a seated position and vice versa, by means of the lower cross member of the frame secured to the leg support. Thus, the lower cross member of the guide frame in tilting the leg support element.
The angle formed on the frame, which can in particular be between 150 and 180 °, ensures the proper functioning of the system.
According to a particular aspect of the invention, the leg support element is articulated on the lower cross member.
According to a particular embodiment, the lower crosspiece carries a single articulation in the central position.
This offers at least a first degree of mobility to the assembly formed by the frame and the three receiving elements, and in particular makes it possible to guide the leg support element between its two positions.
According to a particular embodiment, the final portion of the frame uprights extends substantially vertically, in the or at least one seated position.
The final portion is thus substantially parallel to the portion for receiving the legs of the child. Furthermore, the height of this final portion, in the or at least one seated position corresponds substantially to the height of the leg portion. These aspects guarantee the proper functioning of the invention, according to this embodiment, that is to say allow the passage from one position to the other of the convertible support, by simple tilting of the frame.
According to a particular embodiment, the convertible support comprises a removable and / or retractable finishing element, capable of closing the contour defined in said upper plane by said upper crosspiece and said main portions of the frame uprights, in said elongated position.
Thus, when the finishing element is in a deployed position (corresponding to the lying position), the convertible support is completely "closed" (forming a pram) and the child is securely retained there, without risk of slipping or to place his feet out of the support. When the finishing element is in a retracted position (corresponding to or at least a seated position) or when it is removed, a space is opened for the child's legs and / or feet.
According to a particular embodiment, the finishing element has at least one hoop articulated on the frame uprights, in the vicinity of the connection between their main portion and their final portion.
Furthermore, the arch can carry a first edge of a finishing fabric, also secured to the lower cross member and / or to the final portions of the lateral uprights.
The displacement of the articulated hoop thus causes the displacement of the canvas between two positions, namely a high position in which the canvas closes the contour formed by the convertible support in the extended position so as to completely surround the child who is lying there. , and a low position in which the fabric is picked up on itself, the arch being in contact with the lower crossmember, so as to free up space for the child's feet and / or legs.
According to a particular embodiment, the convertible support comprises two vertical lateral fastening uprights carrying in their upper part the frame, and in their lower part of the fastening connectors to a stroller chassis.
Thus, the convertible support can quickly and easily be installed on the stroller when necessary.
According to a particular embodiment, the joining uprights carry, mobile in rotation, two lines supporting the seat and extending parallel to one another.
These two lines form a deformable parallelogram with the seat. They allow both to support the seat and guide it in movement, in a planar movement, during the transition from the lying position to at least one sitting position and vice versa.
According to a particular embodiment, each of the fixing uprights carries a horizontal fastening cross forming a cross with the fastening upright, the lines being mounted on the fastening cross, on either side of the fastening upright.
The branches of the horizontal crossmember thus make it possible to offset the point of articulation of each hanger with the fixing amount, and at the same time the point of contact of each hanger with the seat. The seat is thus supported on a larger area (defined by the deformable parallelogram) ensuring its stability during its movement.
According to another embodiment, the fastening crosspiece extends substantially equidistant from the upper plane and the base plane, in the extended position.
According to a particular embodiment, a suspension of the backrest is articulated on the frame.
This hanger allows both to support the backrest, and to guide it in movement between the lying position and at least one seated position and vice versa.
According to a particular embodiment, the hanger is articulated relative to the backrest substantially in the middle.
The suspension of the file is fixed in relation to the file by means of the joint. This articulation in the center of the backrest allows both to ensure the balance of the backrest in its movement, and to ensure at least a degree of mobility allowing the proper functioning of the system.
The invention also relates to a stroller comprising the support convertible between an lying position and at least one seated position as described above.

5. Detailed description of different embodiments of the invention
5.1 General principle
The general principle of the invention is based on a new concept of support convertible between an elongated position and at least one seated position, intended to be mounted in particular on a baby stroller (and where appropriate on a fixed frame), according to which the only tilting of the frame of the convertible support causes the passage from an lying position to at least one seated position, and vice versa, thanks to the specific shape of the frame.
Such a convertible support can thus take two distinct positions adapted to different times in the life of the child: a first "lying" position allowing the child to be lying down during his transport in a stroller, for example to sleep; at least a second “sitting” position allowing the child to be seated and to interact with his environment. In certain embodiments, it is possible to provide several “sitting” positions, corresponding to different inclinations.
In the “lying down” position, the elements constituting the support for receiving the child (namely three elements respectively forming a backrest, a seat, and a leg support in a “seated” position) are substantially aligned horizontally, in a foreground, said basic plan. The frame of the convertible support then extends above this base plane, substantially in a second parallel plane called the upper plane.
According to the invention, the frame of the convertible support can be tilted, to move the support from a "lying" position to a "sitting" position (in other words, the support thus passes from a position where it forms substantially a pram at a position where it substantially forms a seat). This frame has two lateral edges, called frame uprights, and two lower and upper end edges, called frame crosspieces, and extending respectively near the feet and at the head of the child installed in the convertible support.
In practice, the different elements constituting the frame (uprights and crosspieces) can be formed in one piece, for example tubular. The connections between the uprights can be at right angles or progressive, in the form of curved parts. Likewise, the uprights and crosspieces are not necessarily straight, but may be curved, or even have several curves. In particular, the crosspieces can define arcs of a circle, ellipse or hyperbola.
The lower crossmember is secured to the leg support, so as to be in the same plane as the latter (that is to say in the basic plane), in the extended position.
For this, the frame uprights each have two separate portions, namely a main portion located on the side of the back and seat portion, and a final portion located on the side of the leg support portion.
In the extended position, the main portion of the uprights extends substantially horizontally from the upper cross member, ie in the upper plane of the frame, while the final portion extends downward from the main portion at an angle less than 180 °. The final portions of the uprights meet at the lower cross member of the frame so that the lower cross member is substantially in the base plane.
In the illustrated embodiment, the connection between the two portions is formed by a curvature of the upright. In another embodiment, the two portions can be separate parts.
5.2 Description of several specific embodiments
The structure of a convertible support 1, according to the invention, is shown in FIG. 1.
Such a convertible support 1 comprises two main lateral fixing uprights 21, 22, substantially vertical (that is to say perpendicular to the ground) which make it possible to support a set for receiving the child formed by a frame 3 and d a bottom 4 consisting of three articulated portions two by two, corresponding respectively, in a seated position to a backrest 41, a seat 42, and a leg support 43.
In the illustrated embodiment, the back has a length substantially equal to the combined length of the seat and the leg portion. The backrest and seat represent approximately 3/4 of the total length of the support elements.
The vertical fixing uprights 21, 22 each have at their upper end a pivot connection, along a first axis A, with a structural element 23 carrying the frame 3. In FIG. 1, this structural element 23 has one or more ( for example two) regions 231, 232 of attachment to the frame 3, forming for example tubesο tubes in which circulate the uprights of the frame, to join the frame 3 to this structural element 23. Other configurations can be envisaged for the attachment of the frame. In certain embodiments, the functions, or at least some of them, of the structural element can be provided directly by the frame.
The structural element 23 is also in pivot connection, along this same axis A, with a hoop 24 for supporting a canopy (not shown) allowing the deployment of the canopy to be varied in a traditional manner between a folded position and a position unfolded.
According to an alternative embodiment, the axis A and the axis of rotation of the canopy can be distinct, so that the element 23 and the arch 24 have different axes of rotation with respect to the lateral mounting posts 21, 22.
In addition to the canopy, other elements can be rotatably mounted on the elements 23 (for example a protection device and / or a tray intended to receive the child's toys or a drink (called "child tray" in English) ).
FIG. 11 illustrates for example such a protection device 40, for example a cushion (“crash pad” in English) or a bar (“bumper bar” in English). This protection device 40 extends laterally above the convertible support 1 in the manner of a shield. This device can also be mounted in rotation relative to the chassis of the stroller, for example on the lateral fixing posts 21, 22.
The vertical fixing uprights 21, 22 also each comprise two transverse fastening elements 211, 212, 221, 222 extending on either side of the upright, forming a substantially horizontal fastening cross member.
At the end of each attachment element is mounted a support element 25 a , 25 b of the seat 42, or hanger, the base of which extends under the seat.
These lines 25 A , 25 B are particularly visible in FIGS. 2A, 2B, 3A and
3B.
In the embodiment described, the seat 42 is therefore supported by two lines 25 A , 25 B , substantially parallel to each other (the line 25 A can be slightly shorter than the line 25 B , to slightly tilt the seat in the position of Figure 2A), substantially forming with the seat and the transverse hooking elements 221, 222 a deformable parallelogram.
A third hanger 25 c , making it possible to support the file 41, is integral with the frame 3 and positioned so as to support the file 41 in its central part.
These three lines 25 A , 25 B , 25 c are mounted under the seat portions 42 and back 41 respectively, for example using hems and / or connectors allowing their retention and their rotation.
The hanger 25 c is articulated at the upper frame, to the element 23 for holding the frame, in the illustrated embodiment. On the other hand, the lines 25 A , 25 b are not articulated at the level of this upper frame 3, but in an intermediate position defined by the hooking elements, so as to allow an optimized movement.
In the illustrated embodiment, the lines 25 A , 25 B , 25 c are each formed of bent tubes, defining a U whose two branches provide a connecting rod function and whose base circulates under the seat, respectively the backrest ( in Figure 1, the rear part of these tubes has been retracted, to facilitate reading)
According to another approach, the lines can also have two connecting rods each secured to an edge of the seat (without part extending under the seat).
The leg support portion 43 is also connected to the frame 3 via a pivot link 25 D formed here by a central articulation placed at the end and outside of the leg support portion 43. Thus, there is no there is no fourth hanger for this portion, which is connected directly to the frame, and more precisely to its lower cross member.
The three lines 25 A , 25 B , 25 c and the pivot link 25 D constitute the only points of contact between the frame 3 and the bottom 4 receiving the child.
FIGS. 4A and 4B represent the convertible support 1 mounted on a stroller 10. The convertible support 1 is fixed to the chassis of the stroller 10 by means of a pair of lateral connection elements 7, for example of the Moduloclip type ( registered trademark) developed by the applicant.
In the example illustrated, such a stroller 10 comprises two front uprights provided with a pair of front wheels, two rear uprights provided with a pair of rear wheels, and a sliding handle relative to the front uprights. However, any type of stroller, and more generally of a "baby carriage", can be used with the support of the invention, provided that they are provided with means of connection with this convertible support.
According to the invention, this convertible support 1 can therefore take two respective positions: a first position called the lying position in which the child is substantially lying down and at least a second position known as the sitting position in which the child is substantially seated.
Figure 4A shows the lying position. In this position, the backrest 41, the seat 42 and the leg support 43 are substantially aligned in a plane, called “base plane” Pb, substantially horizontal. This base plane P B is located approximately at the height of the elements 5 for connection to the chassis of the stroller 10. The alignment of the backrest 41, of the seat 42, and of the leg support portion 43 in this base plane P B provides a relatively flat surface allowing a child to lie down.
Above this base plane P B extends the peripheral frame 3 of the convertible support, which defines the contours of the support. It extends, in a majority proportion (over approximately 3/4 of its length), parallel to the base plane P B in a so-called “upper” plane P s . More specifically, a first part of the frame 3 located substantially above the backrest 41 and the seat 42 in the extended position, is placed in this upper plane P s . A second part of the frame 3 located substantially above the leg portion 43 in the extended position leaves the upper plane P s to join the base plane P B.
More specifically, the frame 3 comprises two lateral edges 31, 32, or uprights, an upper end edge 33, or upper cross member, and a lower end edge 34, or lower cross member. The uprights 31, 32 are formed of two portions defining between them an angle a strictly less than 180 °. This angle is preferably between 150 ° and 170 °. A first portion, called the main portion, (about 3/4 of the length of the uprights) is located substantially above the backrest and the seat 42 in the extended position while a second portion, called the final portion (about 1 / 4 to 1/5 of the length of the uprights) is located substantially above the leg support portion 43 in the extended position.
The upper cross member 33 and the main portion of the lateral edges 31, 32 are located in the upper plane P s . The final portion of the lateral edges 31, 32 leaves the upper plane P s to incline towards the base plane P B. The lower cross member 34 of the frame 3 is thus connected to the leg support 43 in the base plane P B via the pivot link 25 d .
The transition to the sitting position, illustrated diagrammatically in FIG. 5, is effected by the tilting of the frame 3 around the first axis of rotation A, by means of the structural element 23. This is the pivot link 25 D between the frame 3 and the leg support 43 which guides the movement of the various elements of the bottom 4 (backrest 41, seat 42, leg support 43) between the elongated (figures 2B, 2C, 2D, 4A) and seat (figures 1, 2A, 4B).
Thus, as illustrated in FIG. 4B, the elements in the seated position are inclined between them so as to form a seat allowing a child to sit. More precisely, with respect to the lying position, the backrest 41 is straightened upwards, the leg support portion 43 inclined downwards, while the seat 42 remains substantially horizontal.
During the tilting of the frame 3 (to move the support in the seated position), the seat 42 remains substantially horizontal, while shifting towards the lateral fixing uprights and approaching the lower cross member of the frame, guided by the parallelogram deformable consisting of lines 25 A , 25 B. In the seated position, the seat 42 is then in a plane parallel to the base plane P B but located below this base plane P B. The file 41 is guided in its movement by the hanger 25 c .
The frame 3 can be locked in position. For this, means are provided for locking the rotation of the elongated element 23 relative to the lateral fixing uprights 21, 22.
These locking means can be located directly at the joint between the structural element 23 and the respective upright (for example, an external button, located for example at the joint can allow the user to lock or unlock the frame). This scenario is illustrated in Figures 1 to 3B.
They can be moved to another area of the stroller chassis (for example, the exterior locking button can be located on the front or rear of the frame).
As illustrated in FIGS. 5 to 10, the frame 3 and the bottom 4 forming the bed base of the convertible support 1 are connected by an intermediate element, or peripheral skirt 6, flexible and / or deformable, for example made of fabric. Preferably, the top contour of the skirt surrounds the pipes of the frame 3, for example by means of a hem.
The skirt 6, by its shape and the material used, adapts to the position of the three articulated portions of the bottom 4 (namely the backrest 41, the seat 42, and the leg support portion 43).
It notably comprises an upper fabric strip 61, and two lateral fabric strips 62, 63. When the support is in an elongated position (FIG. 9), the upper fabric strip 61 and the lateral fabric strips 62, 63 are located in a substantially vertical plane, perpendicular to the plane of the backrest 41. Thus, in the extended position of the convertible support, they form lateral walls for protecting the head and the body of the child.
When the support passes into a seated position (FIG. 10), and the backrest 41 is straightened, the upper strip 61 is tensioned, and is found substantially in the extension of the plane of the backrest 41. The lateral strips 62, 63 s 'stretch at the level of the seat 42 so as to form lateral protective walls of the child's body.
FIGS. 6 and 8 illustrate a particular aspect of the invention according to which the convertible support 1 can be closed by a removable finishing element 8 (and / or retractable) in the vicinity of the lower end edge 34 of the frame 3.
In another embodiment, this finishing element may have a hoop, possibly several, articulated on the uprights of the frame, near the point of flexion of the uprights (that is to say between the main and final portions). A finishing fabric (it can also be a rigid or partially rigid element) is then fixed on the one hand to the arch and on the other hand to the lower cross member or to the final portions of the uprights. The arch (s) allow the fabric of the finishing element to be deployed and folded up like a canopy.
In its deployed position (which is more specifically adopted in the elongated configuration), the upper end of the finishing element 8 is aligned with the main portion of the uprights 31, 32 substantially in the upper plane P s , as illustrated in Figure 8. The finishing element 8 thus deployed forms a wall at the child's feet, allowing him to be transported, lying down, safely.
In its folded or retracted position (which is more specifically adopted in the seating configuration), the finishing element 8 can be removed or its upper end lowered so as to come into alignment with the base plane P B substantially in contact of the sleeper. FIG. 7 shows the finishing element 8 in the folded position, under the leg support portion 43. This operation makes it possible to open a space so as not to hinder the positioning of the child's feet and / or legs.
